"Jaws" in 5 seconds. Ecco la prima delle due versioni dello squalo in 5 secondi. Trama: Amity è una cittadina che vive di turismo balneare, situata su di un'isola della costa atlantica. Una sera, nel corso di una festa sulla spiaggia, una ragazza, Christine, si avventura in mare e viene dilaniata da uno squalo. Lo sceriffo Martin Brody vorrebbe chiudere le spiagge ma il sindaco, preoccupato per i proventi della comunità, tergiversa. Quando il mostro marino miete la seconda vittima e le spiagge sono invase da una folla attratta dalla morbosità, Martin ingaggia l'anziano pescatore Quint e con la sua barca si mette alla caccia del pescecane: il terzetto viene completato da Matt Hooper, un esperto inviato dall'Istituto Oceanografico.
